Well, I woke up this morning to weigh myself and I'm still disappointed. I had another .5 loss, really :{ I don't know how I'm going to do this if I only loss .5 each time or less. I drank so much water yesterday I was literally in the bathroom every 20 minutes. I'm I doing something wrong. At this rate by the time this phase is over I'm only going to be down 10 pounds for the entire month, yuck! I feel like crying. I'm very tired too and I still have to motivate myself to get Samantha off to school.
What are you eating? Maybe you need to switch it up. For lunch I eat 1 cup of 2% cottage cheese with strawberries and a breadstick. For dinner I have steak and applesauce and another breadstick. That is my "I know I will lose weight when I eat these" foods. Don't be disappointed. The average loss is .5 a day which is still really good! You could try an apple day to see if that helps... Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to say yesterday I did try an apple day and this was my results from that. I thought you couldn't have any dairy products until maintenance phase. Where do you get the breadsticks at?
ReplyDeleteI'm eating for lunch usually a cup of spinach salad with some turkey(2-3oz),green pepper(1/4c), cucumber (1/4c)and a slice of tomato. Then for dinner I have the 3.5oz steak with a 1/2c of greenbeans. Then my 2 apple snacks during the daytime.
ReplyDeleteJamie, cut out all foods that aren't in the original protocol and try that. Turkey, green peppers, and greenbeans are all nono foods. 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or 1 egg and 3 egg whites can be eaten once in a while in place of shrimp, white fish, chicken, and beef. Sorry you're having a rough time of it. =( Keep your water up, and try switching to only phase 2 allowed foods. If you need the accepted list, let me know and I can give them to you.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you're weighing your protein. It needs to be 3.5 oz while raw or 100 grams of raw protein. Too little protein can lead to weight loss stalls.
ReplyDeleteSorry, thought of something else, had to post again. lol
ReplyDeleteThe average weight loss for women is .5 lbs a day. During the course of a 6 week round that's over 20 lbs!! With all the diets I've tried in my life, I've never lost even .5 lbs a day. I'd be excited if I lost even 1-2 lbs a week. Don't stress. You're doing great. Push through and you will be so glad you did. (hug)
I weigh all my protein raw. Erica please send your list because I got mine from sellers on ebay and internet. I'm still waiting for my book HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide by Linda Prinster to get here who knows how long that will take.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erica, it seems like maybe you are not following Dr. Simeon's protocol? Maybe you are doing some other protocol (there are a ton out there) but the only reliable one is the one from Dr. Simeons' because he's the one who originated the HCG diet 60 years ago. Other people have created "spin-offs" since then, but I hear they aren't nearly as effective.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your helpful comments and encouraging words :)
ReplyDeleteI copy and pasted this info for you. This pretty much tells you what is allowed. I hope you get your book really soon. It's VERY VERY helpful. (hugs) We'll figure this out, don't worry. =)
ReplyDelete"Lunch: 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed.
One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. An apple or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
Dinner : The same four choices as lunch.
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc. may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
In fact, the patient should drink about 2 liters of these fluids per day. Many patients are afraid to drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water. This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements.
The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal. No medicines or cosmetics other than lipstick, eyebrow pencil and powder may be used without special permission
Every item in the list is gone over carefully, continually stressing the point that no variations other than those listed may be introduced. All things not listed are forbidden, and the patient is assured that nothing permissible has been left out. The 100 grams of meat must he scrupulously weighed raw after all visible fat has been removed. To do this accurately the patient must have a letter-scale, as kitchen scales are not sufficiently accurate and the butcher should certainly not be relied upon. Those not uncommon patients who feel that even so little food is too much for them, can omit anything they wish.
There is no objection to breaking up the two meals. For instance having a breadstick and an apple for breakfast or before going to bed, provided they are deducted from the regular meals."
I'll email you on facebook. The info I copy and pasted is too large to put into a response here on your blog. =)
